Low running costs and the environmental credentials encouraged Diarmuid to opt for an electric vehicle. Travelling up to 60km on a daily basis Diarmuid refers to the public charging infrastructure as being a challenge adding that the situation is getting better, but the provision is still not sufficient and a wider spread of charging stations is needed.
Advising fellow motorists considering an electric vehicle, Diarmuid adds that drivers should test drive a few vehicles to see which will be best suited to meet their needs.
