What vehicle are you currently driving and what are your thoughts on it?
Porsche Taycan – it is a great car but I am still wary of range (winter does trigger lower range).

What do you consider to be the benefits of driving an Electric Vehicle?
Lower running costs – ‘on-tap’ performance.

What does your average journey look like?
25 – 45 miles each way so a 50 – 90 mile average trip.

Have you calculated any cost savings since switching to an Electric Vehicle?
The savings are probably in the region of 50 – 65% of the normal equivalent motoring (running) costs.

What do you consider to be the challenges associated with EV ownership, if any?
The public charging network – public charging in Northern Ireland is very poor, especially rapid charging facilities. I recently drove to Donegal and back and chargers with a 50kw or greater capacity was non-existent.

Talk to other EV owners in detail, do you own research and build as much knowledge as you can,
