1.
What vehicle are you currently driving?
Tesla Model 3 long range – it offers excellent performance and more than enough range for my journeys.
-
2.
What are the benefits of EV driving?
Better performance, ability to refuel at home, lower running costs, zero road tax and the ability to pre-heat or cool the vehicle from my phone.
-
3.
Have you calculated any cost savings?
Driving 200 miles costs me around £5 because I charge my car overnight on a night-time tariff.
-
4.
What do you consider to be the challenges of EV ownership?
The public charging network in Northern Ireland is unreliable and there are too few charging points.
-
5.
What advice would you give to someone considering their first EV?
Don’t be worried about ‘range anxiety’. Calculate how many miles you are like to drive in a single day and make the decision using logic, not fear.
